When to Treat: Treat the issue as soon as reduced water flow is noticed, rather than waiting for a complete blockage. Some flow is necessary to move the product to the root growth area.

What to Expect: After the roots have accumulated a sufficient amount of Root Destroyer, usually within 3-4 weeks, the roots will die and begin to decay, leading to an increase in water flow.

Prevention: Apply 2 lb. of Root Destroyer twice per year or anytime a reduced water flow is thought to be caused by root growth.

Application: For sewer lines, pour 1/2 lb. of Root Destroyer into the toilet bowl closest to the sewer line and flush. Repeat this process until the recommended dose has been added. Do not apply through sink or tub drains.

For septic systems, Root Destroyer will settle in the septic tank, with little passing into the leach lines. To treat the leach line pipes, add up to 2 lb. of Root Destroyer to the distribution box located between the septic tank and the leach lines. Effective root control in the leach lines requires transferring the Root Destroyer from the septic tank to the leach lines. If the distribution box does not have an opening leading to the leach lines, a cleanout plus opening may need to be installed.
